Description

Health Promotion is the process of enabling people to increase control over, and to improve, their health. Students completing this degree program will have the skills and competencies necessary to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate effective health-related programs. Graduates often find employment in public health agencies, clinical facilities (hospitals and medical clinics), worksite wellness departments, or voluntary agencies.

Certificates

Upon completion of the Health Promotion program, students will be prepared for the Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES) Exam from the National Commission for Health Education Credentialing, Inc.

  • Admissions Process

    Students wishing to pursue the BS in Health Promotion must apply to Arkansas State University and meet all admission requirements established by the university.

    Students must declare the Health Promotion major and schedule a meeting with a Health Promotion advisor.
